Now is the time to some see us is action before the show comes to a close. Here, Bryan (with the canine support of Dakota) is assessing the juice lees (settlings) before deciding how much to incorporate into the fermentation of the 2011 Top Cream Chardonnay.

And the winner is... This came to me recently by email from one of our wine club members and I thought I'd share it with you. - Bryan

6th Annual Babcock Winery Open House and V.I.P. Cellar Luncheon Another Success!

A bright, sunny day was the perfect backdrop for our annual Open House event on April 16th. Over 300 guests attended sampling 20 or so current releases of Premier and Terroir Exclusives wines along with creative cheeses and spreads. For the V.I.P. luncheon, Bryan dug deep into the cellar so we were able to pour incredible library selections, including a jeroboam of Fathom to accompany our upscale barbecue and artisan, wood fired pizzas! Large format bottles, available for purchase, were signed by the winemaker.

Babcock Goes Solar

Here are some early installation pictures of one of the new Solar panels Bryan Babcock is having installed on the property.

Solar panel supports on top of the barrel room.

A few of the new panels installed below the tasting room.

When the installation is complete, it should supply 60 to 70 percent of our electrical needs (on a sunny day) and make for a greener Babcock Vineyards.
